Most expensive whiskies in the world

Whether you’re a whisky lover or just an ordinary man, you should admit that we all enjoy a little treat from time to time. The taste of a good whisky, flourishing in our mouths, sometimes it’s worth millions…. literally.

If you’re one of the lucky (or rich) folks that have tried some of the pieces of art on our list, we must say we’re impressed and… a little bit jealous of you. Here’s our compilation of the most expensive whiskies in the world to get your mind blown.

5. Springbank 1919 (Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky)  – $78,000 – Springbank 1919 is one of the rarest single malts ever released – only 24 bottles were produced, which makes it one of the most wanted whiskies in the planet. Springbank 1919 was once featured in the Guinness Book of Records as the most expensive whisky in the world. As the five-runner in our list, you’ll see this is not a fact anymore. There are some whisky bottles that are described as “closest as it can get” online at a similar price, but who knows are they really the same.

4. Glenfiddich Janet Sheed Roberts Reserve 1955 – $94,000 – There are only 11 existing bottles of Glenfiddich Janet Sheed Roberts Reserve 1955.  One was sold at a NY auction for $94,000 in 2012, which makes it one of the most pricey bottles ever bought. The taste contributes to its value, and it’s been described as having a heavenly flavour comprised of barley, pear, and heather.5 of the most expensive whiskies on the world | DF Markets

3.Dalmore 62  – $250,000 – Super rare, the Dalmore 62 has whiskies that are more than a century old, dating back to the mid-19th century. There were only twelve bottles filled with Dalmore 62 Highland Malt Scotch in 1942 with unique names and labels. The wooden mould used to create its decanter took over 100 hours to handcraft and the platinum and crystal decanter that holds Dalmore 62 is part of why it costs a fortune.p18dsk51brv1n10t5edhk96pmp6

2. The Macallan M  – $628,205 – Another one of the most expensive whiskies, is this old classic – a single malted masterpiece, aged in Spanish Oak. The last time it was seen and sold was in Hong Kong in 2014. Actually, exactly month ago, the Macallan family was completed with the releases of Reflection ($1,400) and No. 6 ($4,000), so you’ve got some more to choose from.

1.Isabella’s Islay – $6,200,000 – The world’s most luxurious whisky prize should go to the company which is responsible for the most luxurious non-alcoholic beverage as well. The company’s name is Luxury Beverage Company of the United Kingdom and their product Isabella’s Islay retails for £3.8 million. It features over 8,500 diamonds, almost 300 rubies and exquisite white gold.

We hope you enjoyed our list of the 5 most expensive whiskies in the world. Whether you decide to try Campbeltown, Dalmore 62, Glenfiddich, The Macallan M or Isabella’s Islay, we hope that you’re from the people who’d like to share.
