UK Manufacturing growth slowed at the end of Q2, data released by IHS Markit showed. The seasonally adjusted Manufacturing PMI was at a 3-month low of 54.3 in June, down from 56.3 in May. However, the average PMI level over the second quarter as a whole was the best registered in three years.
In the first of the three major central bank meetings last week,the Bank of Japan kept its short-term interest rates unchanged at -0.1%, where they’ve stood since January 2016. Officials also voted to maintain the purchase of Japanese government bonds so that the 10-year JGB yield remains at zero percent.
